Daniel Asenov has qualified for the quarterfinals of the Youth World Boxing Championships in Sofia. The Bulgarian boxer is now in the top eight of the race after he won with ease a match versus Batamir Gambold of Mongolia in the 52-kg weight class. At the quarterfinals he faces Massoud Yusifzade of Azerbaijan. A possible win of the Bulgarian will provide him with a quota for the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China, due in August.
