Bulgarians holidaying abroad 20% up

The President of the Association of Bulgarian Tour Operators and Travel Agents (ABTOTA) Bayko Baykov has reported a 20% growth in the number of Bulgarians who spend their holidays abroad. In an interview for Focus News Agency he remarks that the most preferred destination is Greece followed by Turkey. However, he adds there is significant growth in bookings for more expensive holidays in Italy and Spain. Bulgarian tourists are on the lookout for new destinations in the Mediterranean and mostly in European countries, ABTOTA experts conclude.
