The Security Council at the caretaker Prime Minister George Bliznashki will hold a meeting on Wednesday - August 27. The meeting comes at the initiative of Defense Minister Velizar Shalamanov and a topic of discussion will be Bulgaria’s position during the NATO summit in early September. Bulgaria does not have a vision on how it would develop as part of NATO by 2020, Minister Shalamanov said during the last meeting of the government. The document must be discussed and approved at the meeting on Wednesday with the participation of President Rosen Plevneliev or his representative. Then the Council of Ministers should approve it quickly in order for the plan to be ready before the forum in Wales. President Plevneliev as well as Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov and Defense Minister Velizar Shalamanov will take part in the summit meeting.
