The team of Ludogorets became the first Bulgarian team with a victory in the Champions League after Yordan Minev broke the nil draw in the extra time of the match against Basel. After an even beginning, in the 18^th minute Basel remained a player less after Serey Die was thrown out with a direct red card after a clash with Cosmin Motzi. By the end of the first part Ludogorets definitely prevailed, but failed to score. In the second half the Bulgarians were again more active and the game was in great part in Basel’s field. However Minev’s strike came only in the extra time. In this way the team’s chances for a second place in the group are quite real. In the parallel march from the same group Real Madrid won against Liverpool by 3:0.
