Russian companies continue to manufacture and deliver to Bulgaria pipes for the construction of the sea section of the South Stream gas pipeline. The information was confirmed by Director General of the Pipe Industry Development Fund Oleg Kalinsky. We have not received official information about the suspension of the South Stream gas project and are continuing to work, in order to fulfill the contracts, Mr Kalinsky further said. A spokesperson of the South Stream project said that Castoro Sei Company was the only one which has already stopped working under the project. He also added that all agreements with the rest of the subcontractors under the South Stream project were still valid. According to the contract agreements, the pipe manufacturers have to produce and deliver pipes to the sorting storehouses in Bulgaria.
