Bulgaria’s birth-rate marks slight increase in 2014

A total of 63,000 babies were born in Bulgaria in 2014, which is 1,600 more as compared to the previous 2013, the system of Bulgaria’s Ministry of Healthcare reports. In 1997 some 64,000 babies were born in this country. The number of the babies born in 2014 is highest in the capital Sofia-15,470. However, only 835 babies were born in Sofia district last year.
