Foreign Minister Mitov meets RCC Secretary General Goran Svilanovic

"Regional Cooperation in Southeast Europe is very important for Bulgaria. It is an essential tool for strengthening security and political and economic stability in the region," Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov said at a meeting with Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Goran Svilanovic. They discussed the status and future of regional cooperation and the priorities of the RCC. Minister Mitov has pointed out that the implementation of the Strategy of the RCC is a prerequisite for achieving priority objectives - economic growth, new jobs, fighting corruption, cooperation between education and science and more. During the meeting, the Foreign Minister and the General Secretary of the RCC also discussed the priorities of the upcoming Bulgarian presidency of the South-East European Cooperation Process (1 July 2015 - 30 June 2016).
