Westinghouse to participate in 7th unit’s funding with share of 49%, Bulgaria insists

The main thing that the Bulgarian government wants for the implementation of the 7th unit of the Kozloduy NPP project is the appearance of Westinghouse as a strategic partner, participating with a fresh financial resource in the project and staying within as long as possible. That was said to journalists by Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova. Another major condition is that state guarantees won’t be demanded and that the providing of funding won’t be at the expense of this country’s debt and deficit, Petkova pointed out. We have asked our partners from Westinghouse their participation in the project to be with a share of 49 percent, with the corresponding funding, the minister pointed out.
