Bulgaria joins world road safety campaign

Bulgaria has joined a world road safety campaign, part of the global initiative for cutting road accidents under the aegis of the United Nations Youth Assembly for Road Safety, the World Health Organization and the Road Safety Organization. Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Lilyana Pavlova said that according to statistics about road accident fatalities the largest share of victims in Bulgaria is in the age group of 30 and below. She added that road safety problems were linked to regulations, the system of control and sanctions and the state of the road infrastructure.
