Bulgaria’s export for third countries goes up; import declines

In the period January-May 2015 export from Bulgaria to countries outside the European Union has increased by 10% on the same period of 2014 and amounts to around EUR 3.5 billion. Bulgaria’s major trade partners outside the EU are: Turkey, China, Serbia, USA, the Russian Federation and Singapore, which form 50.6% of Bulgaria’s exports for third countries, the National Statistical Institute informs. Import from third countries for the first five months of 2015 goes down by 1.1% on the same period of 2014 and amounts to around EUR 4 billion in CIF prices. The highest value of the goods is registered in the imports from the Russian Federation, followed by Turkey, China and Ukraine. Bulgaria’s foreign trade balance with third countries in the period January-May 2015 is negative and amounts to around EUR 500 million.
