Easier access for foreign experts to Bulgarian labor market

Photo: library

Highly qualified foreigners will have easier access to jobs in the IT and outsourcing sectors in Bulgaria. This is what planned changes to the “blue card” regulation envisage. The changes have been submitted by Interior Minister Rumyana Bachvarova and Minister of Labor and Social Policy Ivailo Kalfin. If the project was approved, foreign nationals would receive work permits, without companies having to prove that there were no unemployed Bulgarian candidates for the same position. The permits are aimed at professionals coming from outside the EU - mainly from Russia, Ukraine, Macedonia and others.
