Minimum wage in Bulgaria is 9 times lower in comparison to that in Luxembourg

Since January 1, 2016, the minimum monthly wage in the EU ranges between 210 euros in Bulgaria and 1923 euro in Luxembourg. This is more than nine-fold difference, data by Eurostat concerning the purchasing power in various Member States, show. In Europe the minimum monthly wage is lower just in Albania and Macedonia. The minimum monthly wage in Romania, Serbia and Montenegro is about 250 euros a month.
