Members of the European Parliament from Bulgaria are collecting signatures for tabling the issue of the blockades along the border between Bulgaria and Greece for consideration in the plenary hall of the European Parliament. According to them this week all 40 signatures necessary for putting the problem forth to the attention of the leadership of the EP will be a fact. The procedure for issuing letters by the European Commission addressing the Greek state has been given a start. MEP from the EPP/GERB Emil Radev said for the BNR that the penal procedures against Greece are a kind of instrument for impact, but if in spring Greek farmers remove their tractors and go to plough their lands, the penal procedure might be suspended due annihilation of the reason for imposing it.
