The Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko termed the idea for creating a joint military brigade of Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine “very timely and reasonable”, and this country a reliable partner. Asked by the Bulgarian National Radio how he sees Bulgaria’s role in such a brigade Rozenko said Bulgaria had always supported Ukraine and its territorial integrity and added that Bulgaria’s experience in reforms including reforms in the army, would be beneficial for Ukraine. Taking a question whether the visit to Ukraine of EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn was an encouraging signal in view of a Jean-Claude Juncker’s statement that Ukraine would not join EU and NATO earlier than 20-25 years from now, Rozenko said the timetable of his country’s EU accession was up to Ukraine itself and to its efforts.
