Bulgarian Orthodox Church: influx of refugees shows signs of invasion

The Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church has called to curb the inflow of refugees in Bulgaria while at the same time show solidarity with those who are already in the country and are in need of support. Recently the influx of people fleeing the countries of the Middle East and North Africa ruined by war has shown signs of invasion. The Orthodox Church strongly opposes war; it has explored the causes of this tragedy and believes that the battle with the consequences of the phenomenon is doomed unless the reasons causing it have been removed, a release of the Holy Synod in Sofia reads.
