Albania prevents several terrorist attacks

Photo: mod.gov.alAlbania has prevented several terrorist attacks thanks to its military intelligence, Defense Minister Mimi Kodeli revealed. During her meeting with CIA Director John Brennan in Tirana earlier this month the guest has expressed his gratitude for the successful work of the secret military service which had prevented unwanted events in both Albania and several allied states. One of the terrorist actions prevented had been planned for November 12 in the city of Shkodër during the Albania – Israel football game. The group neutralized had ties with the ISIS and intended to attack with explosives and automatic weapons.

Offices of pro-Kurdish party under attack after Kayseri assaults

Photo: BGNESOffices of the pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party were attacked a day after the bloody assault in Kayseri which left 14 Turkish military dead and 55 people were injured, DPA reports. Vandals threw stones at the party’s offices in Istanbul and Ankara, while social networks saw appeals for murders of its MPs and other representatives. The PDP condemned the Kayseri assault, carried out by the PKK, according to Turkish authorities.

Thousands of Greek companies in Bulgaria on paper only

Photo: libraryThe Katimerini newspaper claims that thousands of companies in Bulgaria, existing on paper only have been registered by Greeks over the past years with the purpose of tax avoidance. A research of the Bristol University shows that only 3,000 out of 14,000 such firms are actually working.

Gruevski calls on diplomats to stay out of Macedonia’s home affairs

Photo: BGNESNikola Gruevski, leader of the VMRO – DPMNE party that won the elections in Macedonia called on “certain diplomats to cease their interference into the country’s home affairs, complying with their diplomatic status”. At a meeting held before the State Election Committee in Skopje Gruevski insisted on an end to the pressure over state institutions. “VMRO – DPMNE won’t let Macedonia become a canton, it will fight actively against Soros and will start to support the civil society via a new regulation for funding of foundations, the way the most modern countries do it.”

30 migrants out, 50 in Serbia everyday

Photo: BGNESSerb Minister of Labor and Social Policy Alexander Vulin alarmed that each day some 30 migrants step out of Serbia, while 50 new ones enter the country, while Belgrade tries to keep a balance of around 600 migrants on the country’s territory. According to the minister the authorities try to regulate expenses on migrants as coming not only from the state budget, but also from donations of international organizations. “We received promises and we expect more money over the next year,” Vulin further pointed out.
