Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture was the stage for a benefice concert of great folk singer Valya Balkanska and bagpipe player Petar Yanev. The concert was entitled “The Magic of the Rhodopes” and it took place together with the show “The Bride” of the Rhodopa Folk Ensemble. The voice of the folk singer is present in the message from Earth to the Universe, included in 1977 in the golden record of the US space ships Voyager 1 and Voyager 2.   Photo: BTA
