Guests from this country and across the globe have started to gather for the peak of the traditional Rose Fest in the town of Karlovo, Central Bulgaria, on the last Saturday of May. The festive program envisages presentation of traditional rituals, related to rose-picking. The Queen of Roses is the main character of the fest – she is the prettiest girl for the year, selected via contest. This time some 30 Chinese people will be among the guests, as the interest towards roses and rose oil production has been growing with each year in their country, the organizers report.
