Wave of best times at World Rowing Championships in Plovdiv

In the heats today at the 2017 World Rowing Under 23 Championships underway in Plovdiv, Southern Bulgaria, eight best times (unofficial world records) have fallen. From the very start women’s eight heats saw impressive performances, and the US team scored the best time which was later improved by 22 seconds by Canada in Heat Two. The situation was repeated in men’s pairs where Serbia scored the best time worldwide but in the next heat France clocked 8 seconds better. Best times were also seen in the women’s double sculls from Belarus, the men’s double sculls from Lithuania, the lightweight men’s sculls from Italy and from Marieke Keijser (the Netherlands) in lightweight women’s single skulls.
