The first President of the European Council Herman van Rompuy, former President of the EP and current Head of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Hans-Gert Pöttering, political advisor to ex-President of France Nicolas Sarcozy Jean-David Levitte and Erwin Pröll – former premier of Lower Austria – these are the other four members of the board. The idea for such cabinet had been discussed since June, but the news on its official establishment was spread earlier this week by Minister of the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU Council Lilyana Pavlova. She said it was a ‘brain trust’ and underlined that the idea belonged to PM Boyko Borissov.
