In the CEE Top 500 chart for the largest companies in Central and Eastern Europe drawn up by the international group Coface, the number of Bulgarian companies this year has increased from 17 to 18. The Bulgarian Energy Holding is the biggest among them and takes the 25th position in the chart. The greatest number of companies in Top 500 come from Poland, the total of 168. Among Bulgarian ones there is strong presence from the sectors of energy and fuels. The total revenues of the 18 Bulgarian companies though have shrunk by 7.07% to 16.7 billion euro, and their profits have declined by 8.71% to 287 million euro. Decline is explained with the low prices of fuels and metals.
