Denislav Ivanov becomes junior European judo champion

Bulgarian athlete Denislav Ivanov won the title in the 66 kg category of the Junior European Judo Championships in Maribor, Slovenia.

Ivanov whose coach is Emil Damyanov, won the match for the title for less than 2 minutes achieving an ippon against Italian Gabriele Sulli.

Before that the Bulgarian eliminated Cengizhan Donmez (Турция), Yannick Van der Kolk(The Netherlands), SalvadorCases Roca (Spain) and AdamMichel (Germany).

This has been the second great success of Bulgaria’s judo wrestlers in the junior 66 kg. In early August Mark Hristov won the bronze at the Cadet World Championships in Santiago, Chile.
