The Bulgarian government will allocate 500,000 euros for reconstruction and repairing damages caused by the enormous flood in the region of Burgas. The Bulgarian Red Cross has organized a campaign to raise funds for families affected. The European Commission has expressed readiness to help Bulgaria after the deadly floods. So far, no such request has been made by the Bulgarian state. This could be done after complete assessment of the damage caused. Initial calculations show the sum of 2 million euros will be needed. A day of mourning for the victims was declared in the municipality of Kameno that was the most severely affected.
