Days of Culture will be organized in different Bulgarian cities and various Turkish customs and traditions will be presented to the local audience. A similar exhibition dedicated to Bulgaria and its culture will be organized in different cities in Turkey. The joint initiative was discussed by the Ministers of Tourism of the two countries Nikolina Angelkova and Numan Kurtumlush. The two were unanimous that through popularization of the traditions of the two countries, a common tourist product between Bulgaria and Turkey aimed at the so-called prospective markets. According to the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), these are China, Japan, India, the Middle East, the United States and Canada. Turkey is fifth when it comes to the number of tourists who visited Bulgaria for the period January-September 2017, with a growth of more than 12 percent compared to the same period last year. Bulgarian citizens who visited Turkey during the same period are more than 1 million. The growth of these trips is over 6 per cent.
