Archeologists unearthed a medieval funeral while studying the Antique Odeon in the central part of Plovdiv. The team working on the site I headed by Maya Martinova. The burial is most likely dated to the 10-11 century. The peak of an arrow was discovered in the chest of the buried man, which leads experts to think it was murder. Photo: BTA

The Regional Museum of History in Dobrich, northeast Bulgaria features a guest exposition of Christmas postcards. The collection belongs to the Sofia City Library and is entitled “The Great-grandma of the MMS – or the charm of the Christmas card”. It contains over 100cards from the early 20th century. The oldest of them dates back to 1902. Fourteen illustrated and text posters telling of the history of the first post cards can be viewed until the end of January.  Photo: BTA
