President Radev describes rejection of veto over drug moratorium as cynical and brutal

President Rumen Radev has described as "cynical and brutal" the rejection of his veto over the moratorium on financing innovative oncology drugs. It would not have been so cynical if 370 million euros hadn’t vanished a day before under vague mechanisms. Socially significant projects remain roads, while some companies will become even richer, others will become even poorer and sicker, President Radev said. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said in Brussels that he was ready to discuss a possible revision of the moratorium, but also expressed doubts saying there were strong lobbying interests in favor of new drug therapies.
