The date has been announced of the Eleventh Sofia Pride for equality and non-discrimination of the LGBT community – it is due on 9th June.

The parade will be held with the motto Different People, Equal Rights. Last year the event attracted about 3000 participants, and this year the organizers expect up to 5000.

By tradition Sofia Pride is challenged by a counter-parade of nationalists.

This year the parade will take place during the first Bulgaria Presidency of the Council of EU.
