Yes Bulgaria Movement called on President Rumen Radev to veto the amendments to the Bank Insolvency Act adopted by the Bulgarian National Assembly on February 9. The project was proposed as a measure against the secondary looting of the assets of the bankrupt Corporate Commercial Bank. It was tabled to Parliament by MPs Yordan Tsonev, Hamid Hamid and Delyan Peevski from the Movement for Rights and Freedoms. According to Yes Bulgaria, the act contradicts fundamental principles of the Bulgarian constitutional model as well as the European law. “The provisions of this law are formulated in such a way that they would lead to legal chaos”, Yes Bulgaria further points out in its position.
