Cobra Squad detains former French Foreign Legion member

In a large-scale operation of the specialized Cobra Squad which involved more than  80 police and gendarmes, and following a one-day siege in the village of Oreshnik, Southeastern Bulgaria, a 35-year-old man was arrested who has formerly served in the French Foreign Legion.

After refusing to report to the police, the man locked himself up in his house, threatened the police officers, and produced gunshots.

The French Foreign Legion, one of the elite military units in the world and part of the French Armed Forces, recruits volunteers from over 130 countries.
