Bulgarians across over 40 cities worldwide gather for their colorful chain dance on March 3rd – their National Liberation Day. Representatives of Bulgarian communities even at the remotest spots of the globe will show that they are ready for this spiritual awakening in support of the great ideal – the nation’s unification. The chain dances of the Bulgarians in the USA, Australia, Argentina and the European countries will be as numerous as the ones across Bulgaria’s squares. The initiative’s motto will be A Chain Dance Awakening. Sofia invites its citizens to the longest chain dance at high noon on March 3rd downtown – the Zaimov Park. Over 30 dancers, orchestras and musicians from the Bulgarian Rhythms Folklore Ensemble will take care of the guests’ good mood, alongside talented folklore singer Anna-Maria and the Iva and Eva Valentinovi Shopa duo. The soloist of the Zagore Ensemble Vesko Vasilev will participate as well, bringing in the magic and message of the Bulgarian folklore songs.
