Bulgarian Academy of Sciences awards honorary title of Doctor Honoris Causa to Professor Eric Verdin from Buck Institute for Research of Ageing

The Bulgarian Academy of Sciences awarded the honorary title of Doctor Honoris Causa to Professor Eric Verdin, President and CEO of The Buck Institute for Research of Ageing. Professor Verdin received the title for his exceptional scientific achievements in the field of biomedicine. Professor Verdin thanked the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences for this recognition and voiced hopes that the cooperation between BAS and The Buck Institute of for Research of Ageing would enhance. The main purpose of the US researchers from this institute is to increase the healthy years of life, when people are not affected by cardiovascular diseases, some types of cancer, Alzheimer, Parkinson, arthritis, diabetes, etc.
