Red-cheeked turtles, which have a characteristic orange-red dash on their cheeks, can be seen in the warm mineral waters in the Rupite locality, at the foot of the extinct volcano Kozhuh. Bulgarian Postal Services released in circulation an edition entitled “Europe 2018 – Bridges”. It consists of two postal stamps of 18 000 issues, two postal stamps in a Block with 10 000 issues, a carnet and an illustrated postal envelope with an original sign as to the price of the postal service and a special seal. The wild animal rescue center “Green Balkans” in Stara Zagora released in the wild a Lesser Kestrel (Falco Naumanni). The bird has been bred at the center under a project sponsored by the programme LIFE.
