The Embassy of Ukraine to Bulgaria has explicitly condemned the illegal –according the Ukrainian side – visit to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea of representatives of the nationalist party Ataka led by its leader Volen Siderov.

The delegation has arrived on the occasion of Yalta International Economic Forum which according to Ukraine is „a planned provocative action aimed to deceive the residents of Crimea and the citizens of Russia and to create an illusion about an international recognition of the attempt at annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.”

The statement also reads that the Embassy of Ukraine has on many occasions called on the Bulgarian citizens “to refrain from illegal visits to the occupied territories and from all kinds of contacts with the illegal occupational authorities in the peninsula.”
