The number of tourists in Bulgaria grew 11% during the first quarter of 2018 compared to the same period of last year. From January to March this year their number reached 1.2 million, said in Plovdiv Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova.
The trend is mainly due to the exceptionally good winter tourist season, but the growth is also related to the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, Minister Angelkova explained.
