There were 3,321 community centers in Bulgaria at the end of 2017. 663 community centers (20%) are in the Bulgarian towns and cities and 2,658 community centers (80%) are in the Bulgarian villages, the National Statistical Institute informs. The number of community centers in this country increased with 246 (8%) as compared to 2012. There are functioning libraries in 3.045 community centers (91.7%). A total of 1.616 community centers (48.7%) offer computer services with internet access and 2,544 community centers (76.6%) have performance halls. Each performance hall has an average of 220 seats. The number of community centers in Plovdiv district is highest- 207. The number of community centers in Vidin and Gabrovo districts is lowest- 77 in each district.
