Nearly 2,000 people visited the National Palace of Culture in Sofia (which hosts most of the events of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union) during the Bulgarian Presidency Open Doors Day. They visited the halls where over 20,000 delegates sat in the course of nearly five months. The guests saw the emblematic Hall 3 where the EU-Western Balkans Summit was held last week, the press center of the Ministry for the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union announced. The visitors learned more about the role of Bulgaria’s rotational Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the work and the role of the Council of the European Union, the important events on the calendar of the Bulgarian EU Presidency, as well as the multiple works of art on the premises of the National Palace of Culture placed during the construction of the building in 1981 in honor of the 1,300th anniversary since the establishment of the Bulgarian state.
