"Although we have good beaches in Argentina, all my compatriots have heard of your Golden Sands and many of them would like to come for seaside holidays in Bulgaria." With these words the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Argentina Jorge Faurie welcomed in his office in Buenos Aires Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva.

Zaharieva is on a working visit to Argentina on the sidelines of the G20 meeting of foreign ministers where she leads the European Union delegation, a release of the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry reads.

"The Bulgarian business can offer many ideas to your country in the area of high technology, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, food production and renewable energy," said the Bulgarian foreign minister.

Ekaterina Zaharieva has urged her counterpart for a meeting of the joint economic and trade commission between the two countries as soon as possible, as well as for a business forum. Minister Faurie has accepted the idea and has expressed the willingness of Argentina to host such a meeting by the end of the year.
