At the Conference of Parliamentary Committees for Union Affairs (COSAC) of the EU national parliaments that has opened in Sofia, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said that in the course of the Bulgarian Presidency the government had managed Europe’s agenda demonstrating skills and developing an atmosphere of honest and open dialogue. In the view of the head of state the cabinet has been successful in returning to the EU agenda the difficult topic of the Western Balkans against a very destructive background, and has on the whole drafted the correct priorities of the Presidency.

Bulgarian National Assembly President Tsveta Karayancheva commented that during its Presidency Bulgaria contributed actively into the fulfilment of the objectives of the trio Bulgaria-Austria-Estonia. EU enlargement has remained a key policy and the key goal is preserving the security and prosperity of the continent, Karayancheva added.
