Fuel retailers went out on street protests in Bulgaria’s coastal city of Burgas over the planned amendments to the Administrative Regulation of Economic Activities with Oil and Oil Products Act. The fuel retailers are protesting, because according to the amendment to this act, they will have to provide very high financial guarantees. The protesters contend that the new amendments will leave only monopolists on the fuel market. Cargo vehicles and cisterns formed a two kilometer line. The protest caused serious traffic congestions on the main streets and avenues in Burgas. On June 26 owners of small petrol stations will launch street protest in Bulgaria's capital Sofia in front of the National Assembly building.
