A discussion named Countering Financing of Terrorism -From Legislation to Practice is being held at the Bulgarian National Assembly in Sofia. Bulgaria’s Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov, the Director General of the National Customs Agency Georgi Kostov and the Chairman of the State Agency for National Security Dimitar Georgiev are among the participants. The type and the structure of the terrorist groups have changed recently. That is why a new legislation which aims at facilitating exchange of information between the EU countries has been prepared, the President of the Bulgarian National Assembly Tsveta Karayancheva said. The fight against financing of terrorism requires a completely new level of cooperation which meets the modern requirements and standards in this field, Bulgaria’s Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov said.
