The culmination of the third edition of one of the most original festivals in the country - "Opera of the Peaks" in Belogradchik, takes place during the weekend in the Belogradchik fortress. The fortress was built during the times of the Roman Empire at the foot of the majestic and sublime rocks that this city in Northwest Bulgaria is famous for. The rocks look like huge human figures and among them during the festival days the most memorable characters of world operas and musicals, presented by the brilliant singers and orchestras of Sofia Opera and Ballet, come to life. The audience has already had the opportunity to enjoy "Carmen" by Bizet. This weekend music lovers can enjoy the performances of a world musical hit - "Mamma mia", by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus of ABBA.

Another spectacle, called "Gods, Giants, Dwarfs, Valkyries," is presented in the Magura Cave. It is not just an original idea for presenting Wagner’s music at the backdrop of the inimitable interior of the famous cave, but also a synthesis of different achievements linked to the presentation of Wagner's art in Bulgaria.
