European Court of Auditors: Sofia has no plan for solving air pollution from domestic heating

Sofia lacks plans for cutting air pollution from domestic heating and it is a major source of fine dust particles.

These are the findings in a recent report of the European Court of Auditors. The Court of Auditors has checked into the measures for cleaner air in Brussels, Krakow, Milan, Ostrava, Sofia and Stuttgart.

Bulgaria is on the top of the list of lost years of life due to low air quality. This country has identified domestic heating and transport as its two main sources of air pollution.
