Starting today until 24 September, the Festival of Handicrafts Night of Samovodska Charshiya is underway in Bulgaria’s medieval capital Veliko Tarnovo.
More than fifty craftsmen have joined the event that combines the past and present in crafts, traditions, music and contemporary art.
Craftsmen demonstrate the ancient technologies they have preserved and give lessons to those willing to learn.
The guests can see handmade pottery, jewels, accessories, toys and leather items. The bazaar for organic goods offers homemade noodles, various kinds of honey, cheeses and jams, and goat cheese products.
The program includes exhibitions, performances of actors and musicians, as well as children’s shows.
