Seven young Bulgarians received from Bulgarian President Rumen Radev gold badges and certificates in the Duke of Edinburgh International Award.

The distinction is given for personal development and achievements.

The award has three levels – bronze, silver and gold. At every level participants set personal objectives that they pursue for a certain period of time. They select activities in the following sections: skills, physical, volunteering and adventure travel.

The Duke of Edinburgh International Award points to the path to freedom – to be able to choose on your own objectives and set standards that you pursue. It supports young people as they develop to become leaders and worthy citizens of our society who have responsibility for the future,” President Rumen Radev said at the award-giving event.
