The start of Bulgaria's path towards accession to the Eurozone has boosted a number of reforms in the country. This is stated in a publication by BNB Governor Dimitar Radev in “Euromoney”. Radev pointed out that this country was moving on the path of the Single Supervisory Mechanism, which is a novelty in the process of joining the currency union.

"Bulgaria can contribute to strengthening the stability of the Eurozone," the Governor of the Bulgarian Central Bank said.

In the summer, Bulgaria received a "green light" from European institutions to go on the road to ERM II and is already implementing a number of measures, including changes in legislation.
