Archeologists started work for the detailed photographing with a drone of the excavation site of the western part of the ancient forum of Philipopulis in the central part of the city of Plovdiv. By the end of the month winter conservation of the site should be completed. A preservation wall will also be built along the eastern boundary of the forum in order to keep the excavation site safe until next archeological season. Photos: BTA

World Diabetes Day is the primary global awareness campaign focusing on diabetes mellitus and is held on 14 November each year. According to official statistical data, the number of people suffering of diabetes in Bulgaria is more than 460 thousand people. One of the most influential photographers in the world – American Roger Ballen (right), arrived for the first time in Bulgaria for the opening of his retrospective exposition Archetypes. The collection of 200 black-and-white photos, taken in the period 1982-2014 in South Africa is arranged in two parts – one at Kvadrat 500 Gallery in Sofia ( November 13, 2018 – January 13, 2019), and another one in City Gallery Plovdiv (November 14 – December 5, 2018).
