An exposition of model planes from World War 1 and 2 is arranged in the town of Lom, on the Danube. The exhibition marks the 75^th anniversary since the death of prominent Bulgarian pilot Dimitar Spisarevski, who lived in Lom in the period 1919-1931. The collection contains also a model of Spisarevski’s plane – a Messerschmitt Bf-109G-2 (on the right). This is the plane she died in on December 20, 1943 after destroying a heavy American bomber Liberator B-24 by crushing into it. That happened during the bombing of the capital Sofia.  Photos: BTA
