Sofia with a new-old ice rink Yunak

Sofia has a new ice rink – at Yunak stadium, in the city centre, on the same spot where the legendary ice rink Druzhba used to be located.

The investment in the facility amounts to 340,000 euro. It will have professional skating coaches for beginners and will offer brand new rental ice skates. Monday to Friday there will be given times of day when children up to the age of 12 will be able to skate free of charge. The ice rink will be in use at Yunak stadium until the beginning of March when it will be used for the world short track championship for men and women at Armeets Arena in Sofia.
