More than 45,000 students have successfully completed traineeships financed under a Ministry of Education and Science European project. Around 20 percent of them have received job offers, even though more than 90 percent say they would be willing to stay on at the organization where their traineeship took place, said Deputy Minister of Education Denitsa Sacheva. She noted that the “Student Practical Training – Phase 1” project has been one of the most successful projects implemented by the Ministry of Education, with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences having the biggest number of trainees as employer entity, followed by the university hospitals in Varna and Pleven. Almost 40 million Leva have been granted for the purpose of the project which ends on 29 December.
