Mobility 1 package should be left to next European Parliament: Boyko Borissov

Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov and the President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani discussed the situation with the Mobility 1 package of the EU in a phone conversation. On January 10 the European Parliament’s Committee on Transport and Tourism voted the texts of the Mobility package and rejected two out of the three reports. Premier Borissov said that the topic should be left to the next European Parliament after the May elections. Bulgaria’s Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Rosen Zhelyazkov will once again make this proposal to Antonio Tajani in Brussels. Minister Zhelyazkov will express in Brussels all reservations about the reports under the Moblitiy 1 package that were rejected by the European Parliament, as well as reservations about the voting procedures at the EP.
